Project details appear in the report and do not change the calculation.

Additional report details and interpretation

Interpretation context only. It does not create permit logic or effluent targets.

References appear only when sample point, process declaration, case, and sampling basis are compatible. They are not acceptance criteria.

02

Hydraulic basis

Average and peak flow

Start with average daily flow. Maximum-day, peak-hour, and minimum flows are optional.

Required. Canonical basis: m³/d.

Average flow period and location
Optional maximum-day, peak-hour, and minimum flows

For each case, choose either a direct flow or a factor. Only the selected input is shown.

Maximum-day flow

Optional · canonical m³/d

Peak-hour flow

Optional · canonical m³/h

The declared interval remains one peak hour, even when displayed as an MGD rate.

Changing interval clears the entered minimum flow so it can be re-entered on the new basis.

03

Influent quality

Average concentrations

Enter available values. Concentrations use mg/L with the analyte basis shown beside each label.

Common design-basis parameters

Leave unavailable values blank

No mass load is calculated.

Canonical storage: °C. No mass load is calculated.

Average concentration basis

Period, location, and source notes
Additional parameters · VSS, orthophosphate-P, oil & grease, TDS, conductivity, custom

Optional average concentrations

Custom constituents

Up to five named concentrations. Custom rows do not feed built-in ratios.

04

Peak / variability

Optional peak concentration cases

Add a separate concentration record only when it is available for the matching maximum-day or peak-hour flow.

Maximum-day concentration record

Use a sample from the same 24-hour period as the maximum-day flow.

Period, location, and source notes

Maximum-day concentrations

Optional maximum-day analytes
Peak-hour concentration record

Use a sample from the same hour and location as the peak-hour flow.

Period, location, and source notes

Peak-hour concentrations

Optional peak-hour analytes
Advanced / Event basisOne bounded event or shock basisOptional · no recurrence or time-series modeling

Enter one declared event only. Event rate and integrated mass require event flow/concentration pairing; duration is required for integrated mass.

Wastewater Influent Basis — Acceptance Criteria Extension

Compare project-declared criteria with traceable influent cases. A comparison identifies a declared design or acceptance gap; it does not select a treatment process.

Primary Influent Basis ↑
This extension compares user- or project-declared acceptance criteria against traceable wastewater cases. It does not certify regulatory compliance, toxicity, treatability, or source acceptance.

ATLAS compares declared criteria. It does not determine which regulatory, utility, permit, or contractual limit applies to the project.

Comparison basis

Declare each observed case time basis

Must match the criterion

Sampling method, period, location, source, and point remain in the primary Influent Basis. Select the actual averaging or event context here; ATLAS will not infer it from a label or timestamp.

A current accepted Influent Basis case is required. Editing the primary basis invalidates these comparison results until its new result is accepted.

01

Engineering Basis

Methodology

Hydraulic and mass-loading values are calculated from the declared flow and concentration for each paired case, with loads normalized to canonical SI units.

A measured peak load is reported only when flow and concentration are explicitly paired for that case; an average-hold scenario remains an estimate.

Assumptions

  • Flow factors and sample metadata are user-declared project inputs.
  • Missing data remain missing; the tool does not infer an unpaired concentration or load.

Scope / Limitations

  • This basis does not determine compliance, process acceptance, oxygen demand, chemical dose, equalization volume, or downstream equipment size.

Upstream Context

  • Declared influent flow and sample data Enter project flow, concentration, sample basis, and source metadata as declared.

Current Tool Decision

  • Wastewater Influent Basis Establish a calculation-ready hydraulic and mass-loading basis while preserving explicit case pairing.
